Nature of ViTELflo

What exactly does ViTELflo "manage"?
ViTELflo provides management of all of the following:
  • Diagnostic test management - end-to-end management of diagnostic tests through all steps in the processing cycle of each test
  • Document management - receives, tracks, routes and stores documents,
  • Content management - creation and modification of digital content
  • Work flow management - an advanced platform with the ability to create, optimize and standardize workflow in an ideal way, eliminate redundant tasks, automate work processes, identify opportunities for improvement and achieve new levels of efficiency
  • Data management - receives data, routes data and stores data; receives data queries, retrieves data and displays data
  • Review and report management - provides a platform for generating and displaying multi-modality worklists and for multi-modality review and reporting diagnostic tests
Is ViTELflo a web-based application?
Yes. ViTELflo is a true web-based solution. ViTELflo can be accessed from any web-enabled location, using a laptop, tablet or smart phone. Any of the leading browsers can be used to access ViTELflo. There is no need to install any other application or plug-in to access ViTELflo..
What cardiac modalities can be reviewed and reported using ViTELflo?
Currently, ViTELflo can manage a wide range of cardiac modalities including resting ECG, Holter, Ambulatory Blood Pressure, Stress, Echocardiogram and Stress Echo. TeleMED will also be adding non-invasive vascular in the near future.
Can ViTELflo be used to manage non-cardiac modalities?
Yes. ViTELflo can be used to manage other diagnostic specialties, including radiology, respiratory and audiology diagnostic tests.
What device manufacturers can ViTELflo interface with?
ViTELflo can interface with devices from all leading manufacturers. This list includes devices from GE Healthcare, Philips, Welch Allyn, Siemens, Schiller, Norav, EDAN and others.
If one of our devices is not currently supported, will you build an interface for us?
Yes, we are willing to develop new device interfaces in order to provide better solutions for our clients.

Connectivity and Interoperability

Can ViTELflo send orders to our testing stations?
Yes. ViTELflo can eliminate re-entry of order data into your testing stations by transmitting orders to your testing stations and populating worklists on your devices. We support modality worklists for devices from all leading manufacturers.
Can ViTELflo communicate with my Accuro EMR?
Yes. TeleMED and QHR have developed an API that provides a tight integration between ViTELflo and Accuro and bi-directional communication between ViTELflo and Accuro. ViTELflo can retrieve orders from your Accuro EMR and transmit them to your testing stations. ViTELflo can also automatically send results to your Accuro EMR.
Can ViTELflo improve the distribution of our test results?
Yes. ViTELflo can automate distribution of your results to your referring physicians and your "copy to" physicians in a number of ways:
  • Automated distribution of results in Ontario to OntarioMD's Health Report Manager (HRM) system
  • Automate the fax distribution functionality that is provided by your Accuro EMR
  • Automate the delivery of results to your print server
Can ViTELflo manage 'hard copy' and PDF formatted studies?
Yes. ViTELflo's DocuFlo feature can be used to correctly label and import these tests into ViTELflo for integration into your ViTELflo processing cycle. These tests will also be stored in the ViTELflo database and be available for retrieval and comparison to current studies.

Scalability

Is there a limit on the number of concurrent users that ViTELflo can support?
No. There is no limit on the number of concurrent users that can access and use ViTELflo. The concept of seat licenses are a thing of the past with ViTELflo.
Is there a limit on the number of devices or the number of testing stations that can concurrently be connected to ViTELflo?
No. There is no limit on the number of devices or testing stations that can concurrently be connected to or concurrently transmit tests to ViTELflo.
Is there a limit on the number of modalities that can be managed by ViTELflo?
No. There is no limit on the number of modalities that can be concurrently be managed by ViTELflo.
Can all of our clinics, hospitals, physicians, clinicians and devices be connected on a single instance of ViTELflo?
Yes. All of them can be connected by one deployment of ViTELflo. As your network expands and evolves, your ViTELflo solution will expand and evolve with you.
Does ViTELflo support test sites and user locations across multiple time zones?
Yes, ViTELflo does support multiple time zones and supports changes to and from daylight savings time.

Review and Reporting

Will ViTELflo provide each interpreting physician with a unique account for review and reporting tests?
Yes. ViTELflo can provide each interpreting physician with a unique account. That account will include a worklist that displays tests that are waiting for review by that specific physician. There is also an option for group physician accounts to support physicians that work as a group.
Are the interpretation and values that are generated by our ECG devices displayed on ViTELflo?
Yes. ViTELflo displays the interpretations and values that are generated by your ECG devices. These will also be stored in ViTELflo, whether these are confirmed by the interpreting physician or edited by the interpreting physician.
Can ViTELflo identify and alert physicians to STAT or Urgent ECG studies?
Yes. Based on your guidelines, ViTELflo will automatically identify a STAT or Urgent ECG and send an alert to notify the intended interpreting physician that this study requires immediate attention. It will also automatically place this study at the top of the physician's worklist and highlight the study. Follow up alerts will be sent to the interpreting physician, at intervals that you define, until the test has been interpreted.
Will ViTELflo retrieve and display tests that have been previously performed on the same patient?
Yes. ViTELflo will automatically retrieve and display all previous tests on the same patient that are in the ViTELflo database, regardless of modality and regardless of the identity of the physician that interpreted the test.
What kinds of tools can ViTELflo provide to enable interpreting physicians to work accurately and productively?
ViTELflo supplies a number of tools to assist in navigation, review and interpretation. Some of these tools are zoom (without degradation in image quality), multiple tracing views (3x4, 6x2, etc.), side-by-side comparison, customizable templates, voice recognition software support, predictive text entry, calipers.
Does ViTELflo support electronic signoff by interpreting physicians?

Yes. ViTELflo provides functionality for electronic signoff and time stamp of each test. Sign off and time stamping is a prerequisite for distribution of the result.

Quality Assurance

Can ViTELflo provide functionality for monitoring the quality of ECG tracings that are acquired by our Technicians?
Yes. ViTELflo provides functionality for performing a review and grading of the quality of ECG tracings. Review samples are automatically generated based on client-defined rules. Results of the review are automatically time stamped and stored and can easily be retrieved for internal review or accreditation purposes.
Can ViTELflo provide functionality for conducting a blind peer review of interpretations reported by our cardiologists?
Yes. ViTELflo provides functionality for performing a blind peer review of the interpretations made by cardiologists. Review samples are automatically generated based on client-defined rules. The reviewer will see the same information as available to the physician that made the original interpretation. However, the identity of the physician who made the original interpretation is hidden from the reviewer. Results of the review are automatically time stamped and stored and can easily be retrieved for internal education purposes or accreditation purposes.
Can ViTELflo help us identify problems in our diagnostic processing cycle and help us resolve these difficulties so that we can be more efficient and effective?
Yes. ViTELflo will gather real-time performance data, analyze that data and provide your administrators and clinical leaders with a series of reports that will identify issues that are slowing down your processing cycle or your billing. Armed with this knowledge, you are empowered to define best practices, optimize workflows and cash flows, and elevate the satisfaction level of your patients and their physicians.

Security

How is access to ViTELflo protected?
Passwords are encrypted in the ViTELflo database. Access to ViTELflo requires 2 factor authentication. A user will be locked out after five unsuccessful login attempts.
Will ViTELflo lock out a user after a defined period of inactivity?
Yes. ViTELflo will lock out a user after 5 minutes of inactivity.
How is personal patient data protected by TeleMED?
All data transmitted to and from ViTELflo is encrypted using protocols including TLS version 1.3, FTEPS, SFTP, 256 bit encryption, 2048 bit root. Patient demographic data is encrypted at rest in ViTELflo database using Microsoft SQL.
Does ViTELflo define access to based on role type?
Yes. ViTELflo controls access and edit of data through 7 role types, each with its own set of privileges.
Does ViTELflo provide tracking and audit trails?
Yes. Read-only audit logs record every automated event or user-initiated action.
